Cuba

Cuba is a Caribbean island between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 90 miles off the U.S. coast of Florida. Cuba is a communist state, and the diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States have been strained since the communist revolution of 1959. The United Nations (UN) lacks reliable estimates of drug use in Cuba; however, based on limited ethnographic studies, rates of drug use in Cuba are relatively low. Marijuana appears to be the primary illegal drug used. While rates of use may be limited, Cuba has a history of being a drug-supplying nation.
