Multicultural Education Series

The Multicultural Education Series is a group of interrelated books edited by James A. Banks and published by Teachers College Press at Teachers College, Columbia University. By 2012, more than 40 books had been published in the series and others were in various stages of development. Origin of the Series

In 1996, Brian Ellerbeck—senior acquisition editor at Teachers College Press—invited Banks to develop a proposal for a multicultural education series of books that he could present to the editorial board of the press for its consideration.
