Critical Moments Project in Higher Education

Critical Moments is a case-based approach to teaching undergraduate students the value of exploring diversity. The project has garnered national attention because of its innovative use of case story pedagogy to document the troubling times of successful underrepresented students as they think back on their campus experiences. The project takes these stories and turns them into opportunities for incoming students to think critically about their peers' experiences and to imagine alternatives. Through the construction and discussions of case stories, administrators, staff, faculty, and students become advocates for equity.
