Web-Based Course Management Systems (WBCMS)

Web-based course management systems (WBCMS) are hypertext-related software tools designed to aid in the development and delivery of Web-based courses or Web supplements to traditional classroom-based courses. These courses or supplements are used in K–12 classrooms, universities, corporations, military training, and learning environments. Current examples of WBCMS include ANGEL, Blackboard, eCollege, Prometheus, and WebCT.
