Online Orientation and Navigation Tools

Online orientations are a good tool for helping students to begin an online course or program. Often, online orientations include an overview of the course management software that will be used to deliver courses as well as tips for becoming a successful student online. Online orientations can be conducted synchronously (meaning in real time) using chat or other software that enables students to engage with each other and a facilitator at a designated time. Online orientations are also conducted asynchronously.
