Problem-Solving Consultation Model

In educational settings, consultation is a problemsolving approach in which a consultant and consultee work together to improve a student's learning situation in general education or special education classrooms. Successful problem solving during consultation is accomplished by relying on two critical procedures: deriving solutions based on accurate data and enabling the consultee to serve as the effective agent of change by directing the remediation of the problem.
