Why is SAGE Knowledge (SK) moving to a new platform?
As SAGE is committed to investing in this product, we’re incorporating customer and user feedback to make enhancements to the new platform. We are developing a new platform that can effectively host videos alongside our traditional book and reference content. Based on web trends, the new platform will be responsive to work equally well on desktop, tablet and mobile views. The new platform will also offer improved discoverability of content and intuitive navigation.
What are the benefits of the new platform?
- A unified platform, providing users with a multimedia research experience
- A virtual bookshelf connecting users to related SAGE Journals and SAGE Research Methods content
- A responsive site that will be visually enhanced on all mobile phones and tablets
- Improved discoverability
- A new focus on modern, usable design with a lot of user testing
When will this move happen?
The new platform will go live on November 4, 2015, at which time you will be able to access all of your SAGE Knowledge content on the new platform. An outline of other key dates related to the migration is below.
Beta site live: October 27
MARC Records Available: available now. See our MARC Records Help Page.
Current site shutdown: January 20th.
This provides customers with a dual access period of eight weeks to make changes to proxy servers and update links available in teaching resources.
