Without question, social media platforms and applications like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have impacted the ways in which individuals relate to one another. Emerging media forms offer alternate avenues for connection and expression. In addition, they sustain digital traces and relational memory maps of evolving connections between individuals in everyday life. These practices and processes are not only important to understanding modalities of sociality, but are integral to understanding self-actualization through sociability.
