Introduction
Giftedness is a surprisingly complex, multidimensional construct. It has resisted precise definition throughout most of the history of the field of gifted education and just when we think we have it figured out additional complexity intrudes. One way to understand this complexity and uncertainty is to derive insights from diverse academic disciplines and professional fields.
