Graduation Rates
Graduation rates are defined as a percentage measurement for a cohort of students, indicating the percentage of students within that cohort who graduate within a particular time period. Graduation rates are typically calculated for cohorts of first-year freshman students in institutions of higher learning as they enter fall terms at a college or university. Graduation percentage rates are considered to be an indication of institutional soundness; higher rates may indicate healthier institutions and more successful students.
