In 1990, the founder of MENTTIUM, Gayle Holmes, conducted her own research to discover why women were not reaching senior-level positions in Fortune-ranked companies. As part of her research, she asked senior executives to identify the key to their success. Three critical factors were identified: (a) having a mentor or mentors to provide guidance, (b) ongoing business education, and (c) networking.
