This chapter describes five themes that summarize the evolution of diversity research during the past two decades. Research on diversity within a domestic context and research on international diversity are both considered. The chapter reveals the changing emphases in scholarly work over time, as well as differences in the approaches taken by scholars who study domestic and international diversity.
