Abstract: This chapter presents a framework for ethical professional conduct and exemplary practice that provides the foundation for conventional ethical principles and practice standards. The chapter stresses the importance of the practitioner's personal involvement, biases, and values and introduces the concept of aspirational ethics. Nine universal ethical principles, which help clarify many problem situations in mind-body practice, are introduced. The chapter also reviews core values and virtues to guide the professional. Five case studies highlight problem situations in mind-body practice.
