Graphics
Graphics consist of depictive techniques that utilize both words and images as tools of communication. Examples of graphics include charts and tables, pictures, and illustrations. In the context of distance learning, another dimension of the definition of graphics can be added: Graphics are words and images that can be shared electronically.
Because distance learning involves the separation of learner and educator—in both space and time—the methods of communication between the two are of paramount importance. With the continuation of technological advancements, these communications can occur in multiple ways.
