A cosmogenic nuclide with a half-life of 3.08 × 105 years formed in rocks by the neutron activation of 35 Cl. It has been used as a technique of surfaceage dating as the level of activity increases over the time of exposure and has a potential dating range of 5 ka to 1 Ma.
