  • Assessment of the overall effectiveness of a school serving K-12 students. School evaluation addresses multiple educational expectations, including those of the state, the federal government, students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community. School evaluations comprehensively address instruction and curriculum (e.g., curriculum standards, student academic and social outcomes), school services (e.g., transportation, food service), school adminis tration (e.g., facilities, finance, information systems), human resources (e.g., teacher qualifications, develop ment, and evaluation), as well as parent and community involvement. An example of school evaluation is reflected in the criteria and assessments of regional accrediting agencies providing school-level accreditation.
