The ability to make effective decisions is critical to the success of school administrators. They are responsible for hiring, firing, training, providing mentoring, and supervising the teachers and support staff of the school. Administrators oversee the budget for a school. They also establish and negotiate relationships with students, parents, employ ers, and the community. Administrators set the policies and procedures to achieve the established educational standards and goals of a school.
