  • This bias occurs when some members of the population are more likely to be included in a sample than others. Given that a perfectly random sample is often impractical, most samples contain some bias. Sampling bias becomes problematic when the statistics are said to accurately reflect the larger population, as the results of the study may be skewed to reflect the biased sample.
