  • A methodological tool that involves a rigorous “troubling” of the production of knowledge throughout all the stages of qualitative inquiry. It includes self-reflection and understanding of one's role in the construction of meaning. As a compositional strategy, reflexivity aims to produce a more open-ended and multivoiced research account that moves between interpretation and description. For more information, see Denzin (1997) and Pillow (2003).
