Prostitution
The act of engaging in sexual behavior (not limited to intercourse) in exchange for money. Some view prostitution as degrading and exploitative work and have advocated for the abolition of prostitution. For instance, various organizations, such as WHISPER (Women Hurt in Systems of Prostitution Engaged in Revolt, which was founded by a former prostitute in New York), have expressed the need to eradicate the sex industry, including prostitution services, strip clubs, pornography, and similar services.
