  • A disorder of childhood specified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) that is characterized by defiance of authority, temper tantrums, argumentativeness, annoying others, being touchy or easily annoyed, holding grudges, blaming others for mistakes or misbehavior, anger/ resentment, and spitefulness/vindictiveness. ODD is often comorbid with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and half of the children diagnosed progress to conduct disorder.
