  • A process in which some aspect of the output signal of a system is passed (fed back) to the input. This often controls the dynamic behavior of the system. Negative feedback in an organization conveys poor or unsatisfactory performance. Arturo Rosenblueth proposed that that negative feedback could control behavior in a determinative, directive way, whether the feedback be in response to the behavior of people, animals, or machines. In organizations, feedback is a process that involves sharing observations and concerns between people or parts of an organization with the intention of improving the performances of the individuals and the group.
