Minor
A person under full legal age, usually 18 (state laws vary in the U.S.). Minors (also called juveniles) do not have the same rights as adults and may be prohibited from driving, buying alcohol and cigarettes, and voting; they are usually tried in separate (juvenile) courts. They also are considered under the age of consent and, therefore, cannot consent to sexual acts or other such behaviors.
