Majority Leader
The leader who is chosen from the party in the majority in each house of Congress. The leader's responsibilities include planning legislative agendas, meeting with the president on behalf of the party, and lobbying efforts. In the House, the majority leader is elected every two years. In the Senate, the leader is elected at the start of each new Congress.
