Human Relations Theories of Organization
The interpersonal interactions between human beings in a work situation that affect the productivity and profit of an organization, as well as the economic, psychological, and social satisfaction of the people within the organization. Technical ability is, typically, only one factor in achieving career success, whereas interpersonal skills represent a vital category of transferable skills. An interdisciplinary field that studies human behavior in organizational settings, drawing on the fields of communications, management, psychology, and sociology, human relations incorporates a variety of interactions between people, including their cooperative efforts, group relationships, and conflicts. This field of study is the essence, as all workers engage in some form of human relations activities. Good communication is cited as the foundation and most important component of effective human relations.
