Grooming Behaviors
A social activity that allows animals living near each other to bond and build relationships by influencing and caring for each other. Sexual grooming refers to the social behavior of a potential child sex offender, who attempts to make a child more accepting of sexual advances. This can occur in person or over the Internet, such as in a chat room or through e-mail correspondence. The child is befriended, and a relationship is cultivated so as to build trust between the offender and the child.
