Basically defined as a global perspective (Hanvey, 1976). In today's increasingly globalized, multicultural, and interconnected world, it refers to a concerted, holistic effort to create a tolerant, just, and peaceful society for the future by empowering citizens through learning about the perspectives of “the other.”
