Sports economics is arguably the most popular undergraduate elective in the collegiate economics curriculum today. Of the top 50 liberal arts colleges surveyed, 61% of the respondents offered an elective in sports economics. Details of the survey are available upon request. The rankings are based on the U.S. News & World Report rankings (“Liberal Arts Rankings,” 2009).
