Health Care Regulations
Health care regulations have a long history and a widespread presence in American government, cutting across the federal government and state governments and into the private sector. Due to the dynamic nature of health science and the invaluable role it serves in people’s lives, perhaps no other domain is as widely regulated as health care. However, while most people agree that some form of health regulation is necessary to maintain access, affordability, and quality, it is not always possible to simultaneously pursue these goals.
