Note: President Marcus Stephen, who had been in office since December 2007, resigned from office on November 10, 2011, after being accused of corruption and finding himself in the midst of a political deadlock in parliament. Upon Stephen's resignation, Frederick Pitcher, Stephen's minister of commerce and industry, was elected as president. After just five days in office, Pitcher was removed from office on a vote of no confidence. Sprent Dabwido, a former minister of transportation, was elected by a 9 −8 vote of parliament on November 15, 2011, becoming the country's third president in less than one week. The next day, Dabwido appointed five members of parliament to his new cabinet.
