  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is the capital city of Oklahoma and the county seat of Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma. It was the thirty-first largest city in the United States and the largest city in Oklahoma, with a population of 579,999 recorded by the 2010 U.S. Census. Oklahoma City has grown by 14.6 percent since the 2000 U.S. Census. The city is part of the eight-county Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. With 1,253,987 people, it is the forty-fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States.
