  • Executive director of the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, John E. EchoHawk (1945–) was the initial graduate of a special program to produce American Indian attorneys at the University of New Mexico, completing his law degree in 1970. Since then, he has developed into one of the most prominent attorneys in the United States, emerging victorious in several high-profile cases regarding the rights of Native American people and tribes.
