    Annika Voltan is a PhD (Management) student at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Canada. Her research focus includes business ethics, corporate social responsibility and collaborative models for stimulating social innovations. She is particularly interested in how local food movements can help revitalize rural communities, and address public health and environmental issues. Prior to beginning her doctoral work, Annika worked in public policy on various environmental and economic development contexts at the federal and provincial levels.
