Abstract

Mango Medical is a small business that has experienced rapid growth in rural areas of Hawaii by offering an innovative primary care practice model. This model was built and launched in the turbulent wake of the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) in 2010, the greatest expansion of U.S. government involvement in healthcare since the enactment of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965.
