Can Bankruptcy Save the Boy Scouts of America?

Abstract

This case goes over the Boy Scouts of America’s recent decision to file for bankruptcy as shelter from ongoing lawsuits alleging sexual abuse. Students will discuss whether this is a wise strategy for the organization, and how—or if—the Boy Scouts of America will be able recover public trust.
