    Fatima Hamdulay was a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management at UCT’s Graduate School of Business for 10 years and is currently completing doctoral studies in South East Asia. Her area of specialisation is Lean Thinking and Operational Excellence, an area she has been working in for the last 20 years as practitioner, consultant and teacher. Her doctoral studies seeks to understand the factors that enable sustainability in operational excellence deployment. In particular she is working to understand the role of purpose and mental models in the deployment of improvement initiatives. Fatima’s Chemical Engineering, Social Science and MBA degrees are all from the University of Cape Town.

    Elsa de Witt (nee Scholtz) is the Project Management Office manager at the Energy Division of Adapt IT (Pty) Ltd based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She earned her MBA (Cum) Laude at the Graduate School of Business University of Cape Town in 2015. Elsa is also Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and worked as a consultant for Ernst & Young, South Africa before focusing on project management.
