Working Women: Stories of Strife, Struggle and Survival contains narratives pertaining to the challenges, struggles and success stories of women in the workplace who come from diverse cultures and social backgrounds. The essays discuss the struggles of women who were marginalized but who fought for recognition, dignity, and respect in their workplaces and personal lives. I am a single mum. I am trying my best to be a good mum, a loyal employee, pay my bills, keep up the house, and in there somewhere, I am trying to pursue my dream of becoming a writer, as well as getting in a little ‘me’ time, as in ‘Hey, world, I am still a woman with womanly needs!’
This is what my typical weekday looks like:
