38.1 The Instrument and its Administration
TSI-C has been designed to help counsellors become aware of their styles in performing counselling/coaching function with those who work with them. It may be noted that the word coaching rather than counselling has been used here. Some people misunderstand counselling as remedial help to those who are low performers or create problems. Here, coaching/counselling is used at periodical meetings that establish mutuality and help people to recognise their strengths and deficiencies, and plan enhancement of their effectiveness. The details in Chapter 35 may be looked at for administration, conceptual framework, scoring and use for HRD.
