This chapter is concerned with becoming a supervisor. This involves the development of a certain skill set but it also involves a process which is common to both supervisor and supervisee. To that extent, much of what is said here also applies to the discussion in Chapter 7 about becoming a supervisee. One might say that the same phenomenon can be examined through two different lenses. For example, both parties will have much to say about the importance of establishing a working relationship, but they will be examining the subject from different vantage points.
