Chapter 15: The Way Forward
We have discussed reading problems in this book under the three main themes of (a) assessment of reading ability; (b) identification of the cognitive deficit (in PASS processing) that is assessed to be causing any reading problem; and (c) remediation or prescription for the child who is struggling to read as a result of this cognitive weakness.
Together, these three aspects give us a better understanding of the difficulties experienced by children with dyslexia, and of the ways in which we can help them overcome their problems.
