In this chapter we offer an introduction to cross-cultural forensic neuropsychological evaluations for the nonneuropsychologist. We will review the types of forensic questions a neuropsychological evaluation can address, the cross-cultural considerations that need to enter into each type of evaluation, the knowledge and skills needed to carry out such evaluations, and the impact of culture and language on neuropsychological tests. We aim to provide the users of such evaluations with the means to understand what can and cannot be determined and a means for judging the quality of the work on a case-by-case basis.
