The purpose of this volume is twofold. First, I provide a summary review of the literature on consultation as a service provided by mental health/human service professionals. Second, I review the literature on the preventive aspects of consultation and provide related examples and case studies. My main goal is to present the reader with information and examples for use in becoming even more engaged in prevention activities and practice.
