The improvement of the understanding is for two ends; first, our own increase of knowledge; secondly, to enable us to deliver that knowledge to others.
In January 1998, the Annenberg Center for Communication at the University of Southern California released its study, “Knowledge Organizations: Their Emergence and Impact on Corporate Education and Training.” (The authors were the principal investigators of the research.) The results of that study, which was undertaken with Chicago-based market researcher OmniTech Consulting Group, indicate that the notion of a knowledge organization is just beginning to take hold in American corporations.
