Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations is about exemplary leadership as found in both corporate and nonprofit organizations. The literature on leadership focuses almost exclusively on what leaders do, and not on their internal experience, what they feel. Along with values and rewards, feelings are what motivate leaders to do what they do. The literature that does address feelings tends to do so in a largely analytical and negative form, much as psychodynamic diagnoses consider the neurotic origins of motivation.
