Introduction
In the previous chapter, ways of structuring career interviews were explored; this chapter outlines the skills that are essential for effective careers work. Alongside the use of ‘basic’ and advanced skills, a number of techniques will be referred to that can aid reflection and action for both the practitioner and the client.
