Rena had her own volunteer called Joan who came into the office once a week. With the introduction of the computer there was less work for her to do. Eventually she became my volunteer. My work was expanding, making it necessary for me to make home visits to people who couldn't get to the office. At first, I made these visits on my own. It was very tiring and time consuming but very worthwhile. But I was beginning to get arthritic pains in my back and was glad of Joan's help accompanying me on these visits.
