April 14, 2011, saw two very different and dramatic events in Vancouver, British Columbia.
On that date it snowed in parts of the city, much to the amazement and amusement of some residents.1 This means that for much of the city it was cloudy. But it was very sunny in West Vancouver, at least in one classroom at Mulgrave, an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, Grades PreK to 12.
On this very day, Thursday, there was a parade of five- and six-year-olds marching with much determination to the office of Karyn Mitchell, principal of the junior school. They were on a most important mission, one they had decided on themselves.
