In addition, the setting in which the group is offered greatly impacts the makeup of the group. Our intent in this section, “Counseling and Psychotherapy Groups in Special Settings,” is to highlight settings that groups typically occur in and provide guidelines for best practices based on the unique structure, climate, and parameters of each setting.
