A fantastic corporeal metaphor that links relations of exchange and communication comes to us in the phrase ‘money talks’. In one song called ‘Money Talks’ from a generation ago, the metaphor is used alongside an image of the power of money to cut deep into the body: ‘Money don't grow on a money tree.
