Ahmed is a twenty-four-year-old male of Middle Eastern descent who has entered counseling as a mandated client. He was charged with assault and battery against his spouse and he was found guilty. As part of his sentence he must attend individual and group counseling focusing on anger management.
Ahmed has a history of aggressive acts. He would often get into physical fights with his brothers when they were adolescents. During his college years, he had an arrest for assaulting another student when they had an unpleasant verbal exchange. Most recently, he acknowledges that he becomes angry at his spouse about different issues, but primarily about money and family finances.
